We are delighted to report that further free advice and support is available through the Enterprise Support initiative up until July 2013. This initiative provided mentoring, study visits and advice to over 400 community food enterprises through a BIG Lottery Funded programme with the aim of supporting community food enterprises to be robust and sustainable. What’s also great news is that both of us have been appointed as retained consultants to the Plunkett Foundation to help deliver support under this programme. For more information follow the link.
Amidst tough trading and economic conditions for many, a local business is aiming to grow by taking its innovative low-cost motoring model to a wider audience through a share-offer. Exeter-based car club operator, Co-cars, are moving from a largely voluntary business model to a more commercially savvy, social enterprise nature and conducting a share issue to fund growth.
Did you know we are a Co-op? We may be small but we believe in the principles and values that govern co-ops and feel this is the best model for us. We will be joining lots of other co-operators at the South West Co-op Conference on Friday 11th October at the Cube Cinema in Bristol. For more information including the full agenda follow the link below. Hope to see you there.
